This release brings together statistical material relating to the Terrorism Act 2000 (TACT), including arrests and their outcomes, as well as breakdowns of stops and searches made under the powers of the act. Data presented here cover the period up to 30 June 2022.

  1. Updated to correct an incorrect figure in the key results of the 'Operation of police powers under the Terrorism Act 2000 and subsequent legislation: Arrests, outcomes, and stop and search, Great Britain, quarterly update to June 2022' commentary. Specifically where it read that there were 55 individuals arrested and charged for a terrorism-related offence, this has been corrected to 44.

  2. Updated 'Operation of police powers under the Terrorism Act 2000: quarterly update to June 2022: quarterly data tables' to correct error in S43 Ethnicity data table Q S.02, where data for ‘Not stated’ was falling under ‘01- Chinese’ causing other data to be out of place in the table.
