This report contains statistics on:

  • Universal Credit customer employment by sector

  • Universal Credit customer journeys, including flows between conditionality regimes

  • the into-work rate, including breakdowns by geography and Universal Credit customer characteristics

  • local labour markets, including economic inactivity and employment rates, into-work rates and payrolled employment

We have also published data tables in open document spreadsheet (ODS) format and a background information and methodology report.

Pre-release access 

In addition to staff who are responsible for the production and quality assurance of the statistics, up to 24-hour pre-release access is provided to ministers and other officials. We publish the job titles and organisations of the people who have been granted up to 24-hour pre-release access.

  1. Correction statement: During further work with the data in section 3 of the ‘Get Britain Working: Labour Market Insights October 2025’ publication, DWP analysts identified an issue with the earnings variable used to derive the statistics in data tables 2 to 8 of the accompanying data tables document. Analysts identified a more suitable earnings variable and updated the data tables to reflect this. There have been no changes made to the main publication.
