This report presents statistics on the number of entries, late entries, and results issued for GCSE, AS and A level qualifications for the November 2024 and June 2025 series, along with historical data going back to 2021.

There were 5.7 million GCSE results issued in the 2024 to 2025 academic year, this is similar to the number of GCSE results issued in the 2023 to 2024 academic year.

The number of AS and A level results issued has decreased by 1.0%, with around 863,000 issued in the 2024 to 2025 academic year compared to around 871,000 in the 2023 to 2024 academic year.

The total number of GCSE component-level entries has decreased by 0.1% with just over 15.3 million GCSE entries in the 2024 to 2025 academic year compared to around 15.3 million in the 2023 to 2024 academic year.

The total number of AS and A level component-level entries has decreased by 0.8% with just over 2.6 million AS and A level entries in the 2024 to 2025 academic year compared to around 2.6 million in the 2023 to 2024 academic year.
