These apprenticeship statistics for England cover the first quarter of the 2023 to 2024 academic year, reported to date. The statistics cover learners aged 16 and over.
Also released are official statistics covering:
• the apprenticeship service
• the find an apprenticeship service
Prior to January 2024, this release was known as ‘Apprenticeships and Traineeships’. Since August 2023, traineeships have been integrated into mainstream provision, therefore volumes of starts will no longer reported separately.
Final data on traineeship outcomes is expected to be published in November 2024 as an update to the existing Apprenticeships and traineeships: 2022/23 release.
