Statistics on the number and pass rates of driving and riding theory and practical tests conducted in Great Britain for the period April to June 2022, and also statistics on driving instructors.

In April to June 2022, there were:

  • 634,000 car theory tests conducted

  • 404,000 car practical tests conducted

Compared with April to June 2021, this was:

  • a decrease of 14% for car theory tests

  • an increase of 39% for car practical tests

The pass rate in April to June 2022 was:

  • 44.4% for car theory tests

  • 48.7% for car practical tests
