The adult mental health and wellbeing profile:
- supports understanding at a local level of:
- mental health during pregnancy and up to 2 years after birth
- children and young people’s mental health
- supports an intelligence-based approach to service planning, commissioning and delivery
- provides a set of indicators that allow planners, providers and stakeholders to profile their area and benchmark against similar populations
This release updates data on secondary mental health services for England, regions (NHS and statistical), integrated care boards and upper tier local authorities, for new referrals, attended contacts and inpatient stays including:
- revisions for the period April 2022 to March 2023 due to revised mid-year population estimates
- addition of notes and removal of data for areas impacted by data completeness
The adult mental health and wellbeing profile is classified as official statistics in development.
