Fuel consumption
TSGB0301 (ENV0101): Petroleum consumption by transport mode and fuel type (ODS, 22KB)
As part of assuring quality of our outputs, table ENV0103 has been discontinued. The estimates produced from the reported CO2 emissions of cars and vans, translated into fuel efficiency from the amount of carbon in petrol and diesel did not take into account use of or developments in vehicle technology and other factors which will affect these figures.
We recommend using data from the Vehicle Certification Agency on fuel consumption, which use more detailed CO2 emissions tests (New European Driving Cycle and Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) to determine fuel consumption.
Table ENV0102b is no longer included as the source for this table (DUKES table 6.7) is no longer published. Users may want to refer instead to DUKES 6.5a, which provides the renewable share of energy from production through to final consumption.

Modal specific tables
As of the 2022 release, TSGB now covers primarily cross-modal information. As a result, there are fewer tables in this chapter. Below are the tables that are no longer published with TSGB, but can still be found in the relevant routine DfT statistical collections. The Transport Statistics Finder can also be used to locate these tables, either by table name or code.
