Stacked gas consumption statistics data
Gas consumption data for 2005 to 2024 as a single table, with years stacked one above the other.
Update: 5 May 2026
Tables for 2005 to 2013 were revised to correct for a processing error identified for some Local Authorities in Wales which had resulted in data being shown against incorrect Local Authorities. Total figures for Wales were not impacted.
Update: 19 December 2025
These tables were revised to correct an error in the non-domestic gas consumption for one area in the North East. This impacts 2023 data only, which has now been corrected in this version.
These tables provide the gas time series data from 2005 to 2024 in csv format. This is aimed at analytical users of sub-national data.
The cover sheets in the Excel versions of these data provide guidance on using the data.
