Reform of bus subsidy system
Consultation on bus subsidy launched.
In March, the government published ‘Green light for better buses’, in which we set out our plans for improving local bus subsidy arrangements and regulations in England outside London. We undertook to consult on these proposals and I can inform the House that the consultation has been launched today and will last for 8 weeks. Copies of the consultation document are available in the House library.
