HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) deals with the tax and payments affairs of virtually every business and individual in the UK. Your Charter sets out the relationship between HMRC and our customers, what customers can expect from us, and the behaviours we expect of them.

The latest report covers April 2015 to March 2016 and:

  • summarises our customers response to the refreshed Your Charter
  • demonstrates HMRC’s progress in improving customer service, incorporating the principles in Your Charter
  • introduces the new Charter Committee and their plans for the coming year
  • comments on the performance measures derived from customer surveys directly against each element of Your Charter
