The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from GWE Biogas Ltd.

5.4 A(1) b) (i): Operator is seeking to vary the permit to allow installation of an agricultural silage clamp, two additional primary digesters, low temperature flare and desulphurisation plant, modular carbon capture and upgrade System (CCUS) including storage, and an increase in annual throughput from 150,000 tonnes to 211,000 tonnes.
