Details of the application
The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Walsall Council.

Regulated facility type
The application is for a bespoke waste permit for a 1.16.9 Household Waste Recycling Site, 1.16.6 Household, Commercial and Industrial Waste Transfer Station and associated 1.16.7 Clinical Waste Transfer Station. The Waste Transfer Station will accept up to 125,000 tonnes per year of non-hazardous household, commercial and industrial waste, including additional waste codes for non-hazardous health care wastes and animal carcasses. The Household Waste Recycling site will accept up to 55,000 tonnes per year of hazardous and non-hazardous household and similar commercial and industrial waste. Treatment of wastes will be limited to manual sorting, separation or compaction.
