Guidance for referrals during the current Work Choice contracts’ extension period from April 2017.

DWP providers should use this guidance for all referrals made to Work Choice during the contracts’ extension period in England and Wales. The extension period is from:

  • 7 April 2017 for Remploy only
  • 25 April 2017 for Work Choice contracts originally awarded to providers in 2010

Providers should use the Work Choice provider guidance: before April 2017 for referrals made to Work Choice in:

  • England and Wales before the contracts’ extension period
  • Scotland up to 31 March 2017

  1. Published a revised version of section 17 (now dated July 18) - information about the changes can be found in Work Choice live running memo 67.

  2. Revised section 4, and annexes 2 and 4 - all are now dated May 2018 and include information on compatibility with the Work & Heath Programme.

  3. Revised sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13a, 14a, 19 and 20 and annexes 7 and 8. Also revised versions of the section 13a forms: 'request protected place move to host employer', 'notification of extension of 26 week placement' and 'supported businesses return'. All the revised versions are dated March 2018. Information about the changes to the guidance can be found in Work Choice provider memo LR64.

  4. Published a revised version of section 13a (now dated Nov 17).

  5. Published a revised version of section 13a (now dated Oct 17).
