Woodland improvement pre-application form

Details

Farmers, foresters or land managers wishing to apply for woodland management actions through Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier (CSHT) need to complete the woodland improvement pre-application form.

To apply, you must have received an invitation from the Rural Payments Agency.

The Forestry Commission will review and return your form with advice you must use when you apply for the CSHT scheme.

If you plan to apply for funding for species management, you must have a species management plan (SMP) approved by the Forestry Commission or Natural England. Your pre-application will not be approved without this.
