The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Yew Tree Dairy PartCo Limited.

The application is for a New Bespoke installations permit for an existing site which has increased production capacity over threshold. The facility is a dairy which treats and processes milk via pasteurisation, evaporation and drying with a throughput greater than 200 tonnes of milk per day. The activities carried out on site under the Environmental Permitting Regulations include:

Section 6.8 Part A(1)(e) Treating and processing milk, the quantity of milk received being more than 200 tonnes per day (average value on an annual basis).

Section 5.4 Part A(1)(a) Disposal, recovery or a mix of disposal and recovery of non-hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 50 tonnes per day involving one or more of the following activities: (ii) physico-chemical treatment.
