Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from SED Services Limited.

The proposed variation changes a standard rules permit into a bespoke permit.

Regulated facility type

SED Services propose to vary their current Standard Rules Permit SR 2010 No 12 to a bespoke permit. The variation will include:

  • the addition of waste codes 19 12 12 (filter cake from treated leaves) and 20 03 03 (leaves from street sweepings)
  • extension of the existing permitted site boundary
  • Increase of the annual throughput from 75,000 tonnes to 250,000 tonnes per annum
  • Minor administrative change to the site name from Bryn Hall Inert Recycling Site to Bryn Hall Recycling Site
