The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Veolia ES (UK) Limited.

Physical treatment of non-hazardous wood waste. The purpose of the activity is to produce wood chip for use in manufacturing and energy recovering. The site will accept 50,000 tonnes of waste per year, treating up to a maximum 140 tonnes per day. The processing on site will consist of mechanical shredding, sorting and blending only. For clarity, there will be no crushing or drying activities taking place on site. The site will only accept wood waste, the site will not accept sawdust or fines of any sort.
