Details

The UK ETS will be expanding to include EfW and waste incineration facilities. Before this expansion, a voluntary MRV-only period will be active from 1 January 2026.

This guidance explains:

  • the initial voluntary MRV-only period
  • what installations are in scope
  • how operators can participate
