1. Your request
Please could you provide me with any information you have on the use of spotinor in lactating mares and foals. I’m particularly interested if you have any reports of deaths of foals treated with spotinor and/or the mare treated. Or any information on dosage in foals. I understand it is not licensed in horses but it is my understanding it is used off licence in horses.
2. Our reply
Our records show 1 adverse event citing Spotinor 10 mg/ml Spot-on Solution for Cattle and Sheep used on an 18-year-old male horse that resulted in a skin reaction.
We have no other records that evidence the use of Spotinor 10 mg/ml Spot-on Solution for Cattle and Sheep in horses.
