2. Our reply
The VMD does not hold data of dogs affected by Leptospirosis.
Leptospirosis is generally not a statutorily “notifiable” disease for animals in the UK therefore official government agencies do not hold exact, centralised case counts.
It may be helpful to know that VetCompass, run by the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), analyse large-scale clinical records from hundreds of veterinary practices to track disease trends, such as incidence rates.
