This document provides evidence from the Department of Health to the Senior Salaries Review Body (SSRB).

Pay raises for very senior managers (VSMs) employed by DH arm’s length bodies (ALBs) and by ambulance trusts that have not attained foundation trust status are determined by the government in light of recommendations made by the SSRB.

The SSRB takes evidence from the Department of Health and the Managers in Partnership trade union before making its recommendations.
