DESNZ commissioned CEPA and GHD to assess the cost assumptions for new unabated gas projects, as well as the costs of extending the life of existing unabated gas projects in Great Britain.

Their report focuses on the different types of unabated gas-fired power projects including:

  • combined cycle gas turbines (CCGT)
  • CCGT in combined heat and power (CHP) configuration
  • open cycle gas turbines (OCGT)
  • reciprocating engines
