Details

An anti-dumping duty is an import duty charged in addition to normal Customs Duty. It is applied in the UK and the EU.

It’s designed to allow the UK and EU to take action against goods that are sold at less than their normal value – defined as the price for ‘like goods’ sold in the exporter’s home market.

From 01 January 2021, the UK will no longer be part of the EU customs territory and so, certain UK steel exports to EU will become subject to EU safeguard measures.
