1. Welcome and introductions
DCMS Minister Murray welcomed Soft Power Council (SPC) members, and passed on apologies from the Foreign Secretary and DCMS Secretary of State who were unable to attend.
2. Soft Power Strategy
Officials updated the Council on the progress of the Soft Power Strategy. The Council discussed the strategic framework, how to better leverage the UK’s soft power, and the strategy’s goals and targets.
3. Soft Power in action and reflections on first year of the Soft Power Council
Members discussed the evolution of the role of the SPC, sharing thoughts on upcoming opportunities and challenges.
