This is one of a series of guidance notes on the strategic outcomes of the UK national action plan on women, peace and security (2018 to 2022) to support implementing policy and programme interventions in each area.
In Strategic Outcome 5 (Security and Justice), the UK government commits to support security and justice institutions to become more responsive and accountable to the needs of women and girls and to better protect their rights. We also commit to promoting the meaningful participation and leadership of women in the security and justice sector.
