1. Approved test clinics
You must be tested for tuberculosis (TB) if you’re coming to the UK for more than 6 months and are a resident of Ukraine.
Your test must be from a clinic approved by the Home Office. We will not accept a TB test certificate from a clinic we have not approved.
The following is an approved clinic in Ukraine.
IOM (located at Healthy & Happy Clinic)
16V Antonovicha (Gorkogo) str
- Tel: +38 044 584 36 68
- Fax: +38 044 584 36 72
- Email: email@example.com
2. Attending the clinic
You should contact one of the approved clinics to book an appointment. You should make it clear you need the test for a UK visa application. You can expect to get an appointment within a few days of your request. At busy times you may have to wait 10 days for an appointment especially during the UK student visa peak season between June and September. We cannot arrange or prioritise appointments for you.
3. What you should bring with you
- the passport you are using to submit your application and valid ID, which contains your photograph, such as a national ID card
- 2 recent passport sized photographs
- TB test fee
- if you have had TB in the past or have any other lung disease you should provide details of your previous screening and, if possible, your medical notes and x-ray results
On a separate sheet of paper, please write down your address in Ukraine (written in Latin alphabet) and your email. You should also write down your address and telephone in the United Kingdom (both addresses in Ukraine and in the United Kingdom should be the same as in your visa application).
If you would like an appointment with a female clinician, please ask the clinic when you schedule your appointment.
If you need to cancel your appointment please let the clinic know.
4. Test fees
The fee for TB screening is 120 US Dollars for adults and 45 US Dollars for children under 11 years of age. The fee must be paid directly to the IOM clinic in Ukrainian Hryvnya only. It does not cover treatment if TB is detected.
The fee is non-refundable if you are tested positive for TB or if you decide not to travel to the UK. The cost of the test is in addition to the visa application fee.
