Tuberculosis testing in Jordan

You must be tested for tuberculosis if you are coming to the UK for more than 6 months and are a resident of Jordan.

Your test must be from a clinic approved by the Home Office. We will not accept a tuberculosis test certificate from a clinic we have not approved.

1. Attending the clinic

You should contact MHAC to book an appointment. You should make it clear you need the test for a UK visa application. You can expect to get an appointment within one or two working days of your request.

We cannot arrange or prioritize appointments for you.

4. What you should bring with you

  • the passport you are using to submit your application, which contains your photograph.
  • two recent passport-size photos
  • your current address (residential address, contact number and email address) in addition to the address of the destination in UK including postal code and contact number

If you have had tuberculosis in the past or have any other lung disease you should provide details of your previous screening and, if possible, your medical reports and x-ray results

If you need to cancel your appointment please let the clinic know.

5. Test fees

The fee for a TB screening is 100 USD for adults and 40 USD for children under 11 years old. The fees are accepted in either local currency or US dollars, the payment is done directly to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) clinic.

The cost of the test is in addition to the visa application fee.

The examination duration is 2-3 hours, and the certificate is issued on the same day.
