The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Biffa Waste Services Limited.

The proposed variation

changes standard rules permit into a bespoke permit.

This application is to vary the existing standard rules SR2008 No3 permit for a household, commercial and industrial (HCI) waste transfer station to a bespoke permit. The operator proposes to store some waste types outdoors and store bonded asbestos which isn’t permitted in the current standard rules set.
