The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Greenology (Teesside) Limited.

The application is for a bespoke physical treatment activity to shred and granulate up to 22,500 tonnes per year of tyres for the purpose of recovery to either a separate Small Waste Incinerator Process involving pyrolysis, regulated by the local authority or for transfer off site for further recycling. This activity will be carried out under the recovery codes R3, R4, and R13.
