The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from BOC Limited.

This site carries out the Section 4.2 Part A(1) (a) (i) activity of producing inorganic chemicals such as hydrogen. This application is to add a directly associated activity of pre-combustion carbon capture with subsequent liquefaction and storage of carbon dioxide prior to its export off-site.
