Details

As with the 2015 version this code of practice provides guidance on trialling automated vehicle technologies on public roads or in other public places in the UK. It makes recommendations on how to maintain safety and minimise potential risks.

The additions to this code of practice provide clearer guidance on:

  • conducting trials safely and responsibly
  • improving transparency of trials
  • engaging with the public, authorities and other relevant bodies when planning trials
