Details of the application
The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK Ltd.

Regulated facility type
The application is for a new Household Waste Amenity site taking hazardous waste. The site will predominantly accept non-hazardous waste but also hazardous wastes in the form of asbestos, paints and solvents for example. Treatment will only consist of manual sorting and separation, and light compaction of non-hazardous waste for the purpose of transport. The site will operate up to 25,000 tonnes per year.
