Application is for a bespoke permit for a Household Commercial and Industrial (HCI) Waste Transfer Station and a Biological Treatment Activity at the Waste and Recycling Shed on the Island of Tresco, Isles of Scilly, TR.
The operation is a very small scale operation expected to take less than 300 tonnes of household type wastes (including glass, paint, cardboard, food wastes, vegetable oils, metals) which will be bulked up for onward transfer to appropriate sites on the mainland for recovery/disposal.
Operations include very small scale biological treatment using a bio-digester to treat relatively small amounts of kitchen wastes. This activity will take place inside a building.
