The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Clear-Flow Limited.

Regulated facility type
The proposal is for CFL to operate a facility for recycling wet waste within the existing site at Little Liverton Business Park. CFL will provide the reception, treatment and onward use or disposal to recycle wet waste collected by its own fleet of tankers as well as that of third-party contractor. This is due to the lack of a treatment facility in the local area leading to long travelling times to tip the wastes at suitable treatment facilities. The proposed facility will be able to recover the grit, sand and water component fractions of the waste thereby diverting a large percentage of the waste from landfill. Most of the waste will be interceptor and/or gully waste material delivered to the site by CFL own fleet of tankers. The expected waste annually is Hazardous 2000 tonnes and Non-Hazardous 4,000
