Disclosure

  • The disclosure relates to the top 100 suppliers by value in 2009-10. In this instance, “value” has been defined as payments made. This data set has therefore been compiled by analysing all payments (excluding VAT) for the 09/10 financial year.
  • This list of suppliers includes both intra-government and third-party suppliers so, for example, payments to the Central Office of Information (COI) are included. This data covers core HM Treasury only and does not include any direct spend for the Treasury Group’s Executive Agencies or Arms-Length Bodies However, it does include indirect spend if costs were incurred by HM treasury in relation to the provision of a shared service across HM Treasury Group.
  • Total spending with all suppliers in financial year 2009-10 was £148,138,025 (excluding VAT).
  • In response to a further FOI request we have added an extra column to the table which gives detail of the type of expenditure.
