Details

We recognise the role tidal range could play in the future energy system. These criteria set out our standard for a well-developed tidal range project proposal.

We welcome project proposals and encourage all projects capable of meeting these criteria to apply. Whether government enters negotiations will also depend on a range of other factors including, but not limited to, strategic priorities, financial risk profile and the use of taxpayer money.
