CSC private dashboard early adopter scheme: participating local authorities

Published 30 October 2025

Applies to England

We undertook an application round allowing local authorities to apply to become an early adopter for the children’s social care (CSC) private dashboard scheme.

We have selected a group of 20 local authorities to test new, timely data flows through a private access version of the CSC dashboard.

Through 2 phases of the scheme, local authorities will have the opportunity to inform our data modernisation work. They will work with the Department for Education (DfE) to identify a sustainable, scalable solution to how we collect, share, and use CSC data to improve outcomes.

Phase 1

In phase 1, local authorities will:

  • build and test their own application programming interface (API) connections
  • collaborate with Data to Insight to test the standard safeguarding dataset API link

The local authorities in phase 1 are:

  • Bath and North East Somerset
  • Brighton and Hove
  • Central Bedfordshire
  • Coventry
  • Merton
  • Newcastle
  • Redcar and Cleveland

Phase 2

In phase 2, local authorities will be able to test the case management system provider’s direct connection, alongside either of the Data to Insight and build your own options.

The local authorities in phase 2 are:

  • Barnsley
  • Bath and North East Somerset
  • Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
  • Brighton and Hove
  • Camden
  • Central Bedfordshire
  • Cheshire East
  • Coventry
