Details

This instrument amends existing legislation to revoke 6 items of the Aviation Security Regulations 2026, which provide provisions for aviation security and amends other legislation. They are the:

• remaining provisions of regulation (EU) 2015/1998
• entirety of regulation (EC) 300/2008
• entirety of regulation (EC) 272/2009
• entirety of regulation (EU) 1254/2009
• council decision 2009/97/EC
• council decision 2010/302/EU

It also makes amendments to other legislation to address cross-references to the assimilated law being revoked.

Where applicable, the content of the secondary assimilated law being revoked by these regulations will be retained by alternative provisions being made within the:

• national aviation security programme
• single consolidated direction made under the Aviation Security Act 1982.

There are no changes to aviation security policy arising from the regulation.
