Details

The draft SI will amend references to EEA passporting rights in domestic legislation, and introduce a ‘temporary permissions regime’ for firms. This will allow EEA firms currently passporting into the UK to continue their activities in the UK for a limited period after exit day, while they apply for UK authorisation or transfer business to a UK entity as necessary. The draft SI itself is provided, alongside an explanatory policy note. We intend to lay this SI before Parliament in the autumn.
