HMRC commissioned this research to understand the characteristics of parents eligible for Tax-Free Childcare. This included their childcare use, their digital capability, and how likely they would be to open an account.

This research was carried out by Kantar Public between March and May 2016 and comprised of a phone survey of 766 parents.
