Details

If you’re an asylum seeker applying for backdated tax credits payments you’ll need to fill in form TC-DB3.

To be able to apply you must:

  • have made your claim for asylum before 1 February 2019
  • have children who were in full time non-advanced education when you originally claimed asylum
  • have been granted asylum within 1 month of today’s date

Email HMRC to ask for the form in Welsh.

How to complete the form

You need to:

  1. Download and save the form on your computer.
  2. Open it using the latest free version of Adobe Reader.
  3. Complete it on-screen.
  4. Send it to HMRC (using the email address given in the ‘what happens next’ section of the form).

The form may not work if you try to open it in your internet browser. If the form does not open, contact online services support for more help.
