This toolkit is aimed at dementia groups and networks and provides guidance and helpful tips about facilitating discussions with people with dementia and carers effectively and sensitively.

We want as many people as possible with experience of dementia to be engaged in our work on dementia so that we can improve the lives of those living with dementia and their carers today. During the course of the Dementia 2020 Challenge there will be a number of opportunities for people living with dementia and their carers to give their views and influence the work of the Dementia 2020 Challenge.

At the moment, we are running an online survey for people who have been diagnosed with dementia in the past 2 years (since November 2014), and people who provide unpaid care for them. The survey, which is open until 31 January 2017, asks about people’s experiences of dementia diagnosis, support and awareness.
