Following media and public interest in the issue of syringe drivers, the former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Jeremy Hunt, asked the Department of Health and Social Care to review the decision-making process for issuing a safety alert concerning syringe drivers and the action that followed.
This document sets out the department’s findings and identifies areas for improvement, including further work on the safety of medical devices.
