This document introduces the concept and purpose of a mobility hub, and outlines the process through which one can be planned and delivered. It also provides a toolkit to inform the specification of mobility hubs, and signposts readers to further resources.

A mobility hub is a place where different types of transport are brought together in a single location so people can easily change between them. They usually combine public transport with shared and active travel options, such as walking and cycling.

Homes England encourages the use of mobility hubs in developments to support active travel, shared transport, public transport and placemaking.
