This is the proposed text for guidance that will be issued under section 100 of the Children and Families Act 2014 (duty to make arrangements for pupils with medical conditions).
This duty comes into force on 1 September 2014. It will replace the departmental advice on managing medicines in schools and early years settings. We are publishing the proposed text in advance so you can:
- prepare for implementation
- understand what will be required when it is in force
