This is the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ prospectus for the £20 million 3-year Supported Housing Improvement Programme. The programme will support local authorities to address poor-quality supported housing and to drive up standards in their area.

This programme builds on the success of £5.4 million year-long supported housing pilots which concluded in September 2021. An independent evaluation of the pilots was published in April 2022.

This is now closed for bidding - the deadline to submit bids was Friday 2 September 2022.

Whilst the funding call was open to all local authorities, the department has been keen to hear from authorities who are experiencing significant impacts arising from poor-quality supported housing provision in their area.

The government has also published a summary of good practice from the pilots, based on the most effective interventions and ways of working.
