Details
The Department for Education (DfE) and Government Commercial Agency have developed a new framework which caps the amount of margin supply agencies can charge schools when hiring supply teachers and temporary staffing.
This report uses published supply teacher cost to schools data and provides a comparison between cost of hiring a supply teacher off-framework versus through the framework. Savings due to capped margins are estimated for a typical teacher in primary, secondary and special school.
