Details

When referred to in an environmental permit, these rules will allow the operator to operate one or more Tranche B Specified Generators which are natural gas, hydrogen or non-waste derived biogas fired engines, turbines or boilers which are combined heat and power and the total aggregated net rated thermal input of all combustion plant is less than or equal to 5 MWth.

  1. The rule set (and corresponding generic risk assessment) has been brought into HTML format. Following a consultation there are new conditions for decarbonisation readiness. Hydrogen has been added as a new fuel type on this rule set with corresponding criteria and ELVs including for blends with natural gas. Addition of Marine Conservation Zone under the meaning of protected habitats. Consolidation of table 3.1 and 3.2 into one table. Reference to TGN5 replaced and MCERTS monitoring as an option included. Various updates to the interpretation section to improve understanding.
