The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Plasterboard Recycling Solutions Limited.

Regulated facility type

This substantial variation application is to change the existing Standard Rules Permit (SR2015 No6) to a bespoke permit A11 facility. The facility type remains the same as does the waste types. The variation is for the increase in throughput at the site. Its core business is based upon the recovery of gypsum powder from waste plasterboard. All reception, handling, treatment and loading of plasterboard and its constituent products takes place with an enclosed building
