Details

Smart metering plays a vital role in the operation of a flexible and decarbonised power system, whilst helping households to manage their energy use and reduce bills.

To ensure they continue to operate in smart mode in the future, some smart meters will need maintenance visits. This research identifies the factors that are likely to encourage or prevent domestic consumers from agreeing to a visit for maintenance work and how different message framings affect this likelihood.
